Important Issues in the Automatic Design of Modular Systems for Robotics and Automation Tasks

This work proposes a set of important issues to analyze the feasibility of developing automatic design tools in automation and robotics tasks. The development of a methodology for the automatic design of modular systems makes possible to develop several types of systems by using the same tools for design. The automatic design process is based on the user requirements for system specification. In order to be able to design different systems, we will provide a catalogue of generic requirements that can be present in the system specification provided by the user. In this paper, we present the important issues arising from the study of three systems where their feasibility for automatic design is studied.
